Anticipated show of the week by designer Miriam Ponsa took place yesterday at 080 Barcelona Fashion at El Born Centre Cultural and EP wasn’t about to miss it. The designer’s 2014-15 Autumn collection, titled Sherpa, reflects her interest in weather-worn, hard-working rural cultures, her continuous exploration of warm, wooly textures and the use of handcrafted techniques. Miriam Ponsa’s Autumn-Winter 2013-2014 collection, titled Trashumancia and inspired by rural sheepherders and lumberjacks of yore that transported wood across rivers and forests, was awarded the prize for best collection y the 080 jury.
